I work with fabric and stitch and paint. My art is always about places that I have inhabited, formerly in the north of England, then in Berkshire; now I am a resident of the New Forest.
I have explored anti-war issues that had links to my environment, other times I explored things both man made and natural, depending whether at the time I was living in an urban or rural environment; all of these i have mapped in textile or paint. Aside from this, visits to Lebanon to stay with in-laws have provided opportunities to make work that comments on the beauty and political complexity of that nation. However, at this present time, both my Christian faith and the surroundings of my New Forest home influence my worldview and inform my work.
